Inner Voice vs External Pressure, Who’s Really Guiding your Path?

When you’re navigating a career shift, everyone has an opinion. Apply here. Network there. Choose the smart path. But amidst the noise, it gets harder to hear the quiet pull of what actually feels right—for you.

This in-person session is a chance to pause the scroll and tune inward. We’ll explore the tension between inner knowing and external expectations, and practice tools for reconnecting with clarity, self-trust, and purpose when the path ahead feels uncertain.

Whether you’re between chapters, exploring a pivot, or rebuilding your sense of direction—this space is for you.

Format:

  • A short welcome from the WORK-SELF team about why we’re asking deeper questions around identity and work

  • Small group introductions with fellow transitioners and curious minds

  • Roundtable prompts like:

    • When have you trusted your inner voice in your career and when did you ignore it?

    • What helps you hear that voice more clearly when everything feels noisy?

  • An embodied, creative activity to explore how we make decisions and what “inner voice” feels like in practice

  • A closing reflection to gather insights and name what’s shifted

  • Time to hang, laugh, vent, connect with good people and good conversation

Why Attend:

  • Pause the noise and tune into your own voice in a supportive, reflective space alongside others navigating career change

  • Share stories of inner clarity and confusion and explore what helps (or hinders) self-trust when making big work decisions

  • Connect with like-minded peers who are seeking more purpose-driven, emotionally supportive paths forward

  • Experience creative, embodied activities that help you reflect not just from the head, but from lived experience

  • Walk away with tools, questions, and insights that can help you make decisions with greater alignment and confidence

We’re all being pulled in different directions. This is your invitation to pause, realign, and remember who’s really steering.
