Dr. John O'Dwyer

Dr. John O’Dwyer is an executive advisor, educator and organisational transformation leader with decades of experience helping boards and senior leadership teams navigate complex organisational change.

John is an Adjunct Professor and Executive-in-Residence at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, and a Partner at Strategic Advisory International. His work focuses on turning strategy into execution, aligning leadership teams and designing the organisational conditions required for successful transformation.

He holds a Ph.D. and MBA and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and ICD.D-certified corporate director. Across his advisory, academic and executive work, John has designed and facilitated organisational and team transformations, working closely with leaders through periods of operating-model and workforce change.

At WORK-SELF, John is Executive & Sales Leader, connecting Maya to enterprise operating-model transformation. He shapes executive alignment, decision ownership and human-agent ways of working, and helps co-develop corporate programmes that translate AI adoption into measurable organisational outcomes.

John brings the organisational and executive lens to WORK-SELF’s Human Context Infrastructure, helping ensure that agentic transformation is not treated simply as a technology deployment, but as a coordinated change in how people, leaders and AI agents work together.
